The University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia's oldest university, is situated on a 750 acre (309 hectare) campus in the southwest of Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. It was established on 8th October 1949 on Singapore with the merger of the King Edward VII College of Medicine (founded in 1905) and Raffles College (founded in 1928). The University of Malaya is a public research university and currently has the best-ranked medical school in Malaysia.
The Perinatal Society of Malaysia (PSM) is a Non-Governmental Organisation in Malaysia and is registered with the Registrar of Societies Malaysia. The society promotes maternal, fetal and neonatal well-being, aims at advancing the theory and practice of Perinatology in Malaysia, encourages training and research in Perinatology in Malaysia, and provides expert advice to government and other bodies on matters pertaining to Perinatology.
The College of Paediatrics, Academy of Medicine Malaysia (AMMCOP) is the "academic arm" of paediatricians in Malaysia. One of the important activities of the Academy is to provide a forum for members and colleagues Malaysia to share their experiences in their research and their work in clinical, para-medical and related fields.
